1543 – Records of Dukes since the 12^th century. Fonds, archives of the sovereignty of Guelder, before it was absorbed by the Habsburg empire in 1543. Parts of the archives were held in Vienna and Brussels. Austria and Belgium. In the Gelders archlef in Anhem in Gelderland. Duke Charles archives can be found along with archives of his predecessors. 16^th century – The Duke of Guelders, Charles of Egmond and the creation of records. His fight with the Burgundian Austrian emperors. 20 Jan 1973 – Six Arabs were arrested in Vienna and Italy, planning attacks against Russian Jews in Austria. They were given suspended prison sentences and freed, expelled from Austria and Italy.

28 Sept 1973 – Three hostages were taken on a train, they were released after Austria agreed to close transit camps for Russian Jewish migrants at Schonau. Two Palestinians were arrested, freed and expelled.
